Harry Potter’s Rupert Grint Contracts Swine Flu
No magical powers or potions could prevent Rupert Grint from getting sick.
During the July 4th holiday, a rep for the Harry Potter said Grint had contracted the Influenza A (H1N1) virus – otherwise known as the swine flu – while filming the latest installment. Although the 20-year-old was forced to miss several days work, no production time on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was lost because of his absence.
“He has now recovered and is looking forward to joining his fellow cast members at the junket and premieres this week and will then return to filming directly afterwards,” a statement read.
Grint, who was not deemed to be contagious, is expected to join his co-stars this Tuesday when the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince gets its red carpet debut in London. The film then opens stateside on Wednesday, July 15.
